THE WINTER TRIANGLE tracks three poets down-on-their-luck. An intrinsic dream haunts their collective psyche. Poetic transmissions triangulate their phantasmagoria. A demented guru draws them closer into multiplicity. Tragedy. Horror.

Alluvium
A PROJECTION of the terrestrial as it breathes within the artist; a dive into subaqueous silt: the quiet reapportioning of geology to reveal detritus, organism or transcendence. A PERCEPTION of the unacknowledged river, the generational entrenchment that shapes the climate which is shaping us, encasing us, and cradling us in fellow elemental, in somatic trust, with innate indifference.
ALLUVIUM, comprised of four main installations, displayed at the Equinox Center for Herbal Studies during the month of February ’23. Raef hosted a gala performance centered around each installation, which included a house concert and intimate readings from the poetry book “Delta”, a collection of lyric meditation dealing in the same motif.

Taking place at duskfall on July 31st, NEVERLAND NIGHT was an immersive multimedia, multi-community event held in the regenerative gardens of LaLaNomadic.
The flatbed of a 1962 International Harvester grain truck served as the main stage and event’s focal point. After a ritual to lustrate the stage, four curated performances opened the evening: two poets, two dancers. Then came a feature musical showcase from Raef, beginning at midnight on August 1st.
After an offering of supper from the garden’s boon, guests were adjured to flock to a pin-light in the garden’s center. They were then led along a meandering path to a hidden doorway of juniper, then ushered through. Guests gathered around a reliquary altar of bone, talisman, glass, and amulet. A curated selection of stories was recited, an oral decoration of the intimate space—stories of wonderment and childhood, death and dreaming, and the timelessness of consciousness. With each story, an artefact was offered upon the reliquary by a guest: a gift to the garden sprites and fairies.
Stories included vignettes from Peter Pan, The Summer Book, A Wrinkle in Time, Grendel, and Pure Colour.
Communities involved included Gulo Gulo Poetry, LaLa Gardens, Permatours, dStudios, Tiyospaye Winyan Maka, & Van Abbey Visual Arts
